For the month of January, I created a firework theme. This was my first attempt at what my monthly spread would look like. As this is my first blog post, I will go into a bit more detail for each page and how they function.
The Cover Page: Originally when I started bullet journalling back in 2021, I only thought to do my cover pages as one single page. While planning to create my 2026 bullet journal I saw creator on TikTok (@groovygracie), who had inspired me to try cover page that spans across two pages. I feel as though it's a good divider between months, and gives me extra space for creativity.
The Dashboard: I wanted a place to keep all important information so I created the dashboard. I pulled inspiration from different creators on Pinterest, but landed on this format that worked perfectly for me. There is an overview of the calendar for the month as well as a large calendar on the right side, to write important things down for the individual day. A smaller version of a planner. I also added a spot for birthdays and a "This Month I Want To" section for any upcoming goals for the month (blurred out for privacy reasons).
The Habit Tracker: I chose nine habits to start and as you can tell, there were a bunch I embarrassingly did not stick to, but this is exactly why I track these habits. I want to learn where I need to improve and be able to decide if something isn't for me. I love the grid style to track these habits, inspired by the famous "Year in Pixels" pages, it's the format that works best for me
Playlist: Titled "01.26", is where I list my monthly playlist from Spotify. Every month I create a new playlist for the month with all the songs I'm most commonly listening to. This page is more of a keepsake, as it'll be fun to look back in the future. I made this page two pages because quite honestly, I over-estimated how many songs would be on my playlist for the month.
Moments: Each day I write a moment of gratitude (blurred out for privacy reasons). This can be something big that happened in the day or something small. Regardless it makes me think about one win from the day. One moment of positivity.
January Reading: A big goal of mine for 2026 is to read more and scroll less, so I decided to create a page dedicated to this hobby that I want to improve on. This was obviously quite low, unfortunately, for the month of January.
January Recap: A page to reflect on my month. My favourite song, movie, day, my average mood, my successes, what I want to work on for next month and a print out of my photo dump for the month.
I created two extra pages for the month of January. "Wishlist", for keeping track of things that I want. "Ruby's Library" for my physical bookshelf.
